The India Today live election dashboard is the clearest example. The front end is React, rendering a canvas constituency map and a results grid that updates from a server-sent-events stream while millions of readers follow the count. The engineering problem there is not JSX — it is keeping re-renders bounded when the data underneath changes every few hundred milliseconds.

How I build React applications
Typed props and isolated state, route-level code splitting, memoisation applied only where the render tree is genuinely expensive, and Core Web Vitals treated as a budget enforced in CI rather than a report read after launch. On Next.js I default to server components and streaming, and drop to the client only where interactivity actually requires it.
