Privacy
Your details are used for one thing
When you download a book, your name, email and mobile number are used to send it to you, and to tell you about new books if you stay subscribed. Nothing else.
Who is responsible
This site is run by Deepak Kumar, an individual in New Delhi, India. He decides what is collected here and is the person to write to about it: theofficialdeepak.in@gmail.com.
Free book downloads
To send you the printable copy of a book, the form asks for:
- Name, so the email is addressed to you.
- Email address, where the confirmation link and the book link are sent.
- Mobile number, optional. It is stored with your signup and is not used to call, SMS or WhatsApp you.
These details are used only to:
- send the confirmation email and then the link to the book you asked for, and
- while you stay subscribed, send occasional emails when a new book is published.
They are not sold, rented or shared with anyone. They are not used for advertising and are not added to any other list. Nothing is sent until you click the link in the confirmation email (double opt-in).
One confirmed email unlocks every book on the site. To keep your access working, a record is kept of which books you asked for or opened, when, and how many times you opened the full copy. This record is only used to run your access and to see which books readers find useful.
Unsubscribing and deletion
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and after you use it no more mail is sent. The books you already unlocked stay yours after you unsubscribe. To have your name, email and number deleted completely, or to see or correct what is stored, email theofficialdeepak.in@gmail.com from the same address. Requests are handled within 30 days.
Contact form
Messages sent through the contact page are used only to reply to you.
Analytics and storage
The site uses Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. They receive standard browser information (pages viewed, device type, approximate location) but never your name, email or number, and the personal book link is removed from page addresses before they are sent. Your browser also stores your book access key and reading settings, so you are not asked to sign up again.
Where data is kept
Signups are kept in the site's own database for as long as you stay subscribed. When you unsubscribe your details stay on record as unsubscribed, so you are never emailed again, until you ask for them to be deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Your details will never be used for a new purpose without asking you first.
